[About The Guide]
continue continue Statement
continue;
The continue statement terminates the execution of the current
iteration of the `do', `for' or `while' statement in which it appears,
any remaining statements in the loop body are skipped. In do and while
loops, control is transferred to the do or while controlling
expression. With the `for' loop, control is passed to the
termination-condition test.
Notes: There is distinct difference between the effects of `break'
and `continue': `break' actually exits the loop, whereas
continue skips the remainder of the body for this
iteration, and then continues the loop with the next
iteration.
-------------------------------- Example ---------------------------------
while ( i-- > 0 ) {
if ( condition )
continue;
... /* Continue causes these statements to be skipped */
... when condition is TRUE */
...
}
